Veedersburg - Mrs. Eva Hicks, 68, died at 4:50 p.m. Friday in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Danville, Ill. She had been in failing health during the last five years, suffering a series of strokes. She was born August 18, 1893 in Fountain County, the daughter of Harry and Rinda Keeling McKenzie. She married Harry Hicks Oct 14, 1911. They observed their Golden Anniversary last October. Mrs. Hicks was a member of the EUB Church and affiliated organizations. Surviving are the husband, two daughters, Mrs. Retha Furr of Veedersburg and Mrs. Katherine Rollings of Plainfield; a sister, Mrs. Pearl Sheets and two grandchildren. Two sisters and a brother preceded her in death. Services are set for 1:30 p.m. Monday at Fishero Funeral Home with Rev. J. Samuel Pritchard officiating and burial in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
